Freshly-signed to Metronomy drummer Anna Prior's appropriately-titled new Beat Palace label, Live Sollid (pka Mörmaid) is an Oslo-based producer and songwriter. Taking cues from prominent hyper-pop pioneers including Grimes, SOPHIE and FKA Twigs, fans of Kelly Lee Owens and Chvrches should also take note, as we're enthralled by her stunning new single 'We Love We Dive'. The opening track from her forthcoming EP PUSH PULL shimmers with serene, sea-emulating synth sounds as her choral vocals echo through an ethereal soundscape, rippling competently across 6 minutes. Sollid reveals: "'We Love We Dive' is probably the first love song I've ever written. It's primarily hopeful and positive, but it also addresses that a romantic relationship isn’t always easy and wonderful. People and relationships are flawed, but surely we want what's real - including the struggles that come with it - because that's the most fulfilling kind of love, I think."
